On 6 February 2025, we had the exciting award ceremony for the idea campaign “My Merano, My Cargo Bike”, which engaged local citizens in Merano (IT) to find inspiring names for the newly minted cargo bikes that will launch this spring as part of Merano’s bike sharing system. The campaign was a part of the SuCoLo Project and hosted on the IdeaSpace Ideenplattform.
Here are the winning names: CaptainCargo, CargoLina, C.Argonaut, EcoMover, Passe(r)gino, and Sissi-Cruiser.

Starting in spring 2025, within the project, Merano’s bike-sharing program will expand to include five cargo bikes and an electric scooter specially designed for people with disabilities.
